Gatsby Mardi Gras 2013
A black tie affair...
The annual Mardi Gras Gala traditionally mirrors the festivities of a modern day celebration in the Big Easy. This year, the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizonaís Mardi Gras Gala, is embracing the style and flair of the 1920ís Great Gatsby era.
Attendees will celebrate in an art deco atmosphere reminiscent of the famous Cotton Club, while enjoying the lively sounds of traditional New Orleans style Second Line bands. Hosted by Arizonaís favorite Comedian, Mr. Ricardo Rocha, additional entertainment for the evening includes: casino gaming, a silent auction, raffle prizes, Cajun cuisine, and musical performances by local Jazz bands.
As the 3rd most common neurological disorder in the world, epilepsy is greatly misunderstood and relatively unknown within the general public. Affecting 1 in 100 people, epilepsy is more common than cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and Parkinsonís disease combined.
Along with a glamorous evening of dancing, drinks and dining, attendees will have a unique opportunity to learn more about epilepsy and the many programs of the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona.
